Guns N’ Roses Fans Arrested For Rioting
At least 12 [lastfm]Guns N’ Roses[/lastfm] fans were arrested outside a concert at Velez Stadium in Buenos Aires Monday night. According to Blabbermouth, the fans were arrested for trying to force their way into the show either without tickets or with counterfeit tickets.
The fans who were not let in became unruly and began throwing bottles and members of the Guardia de Infantería de la Policía Federal were forced to use gas and rubber bullets to disperse them. Firefighters were also called to the scene to extinguish a fire that was started in a tree outside the stadium.
Inside the show, 45,000 people waited patiently for the show to start as the band did not take the stage until two hours after the scheduled start time.
According to several reports, there were audio problems at the venue, with some people close to the stage claiming that they couldn’t even hear Axl Rose singing. The frontman had to stop the show at least twice to have the interpreter tell the crowd to stop throwing things onstage.
Guns N’ Roses is currently on an 11-date South American tour that kicked off March 7 in Brazil. The tour will run through April 1 and make stops in countries such as Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Colombia.
