Former [lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm] frontman Liam Gallagher has once again taken a jab at rock kings [lastfm]U2[/lastfm]. According to a recent report from Canadian blog Jam Showbiz, Gallagher questions if U2 actually has any real fans.
He claims that he has “never seen anyone with a U2 shirt,” or met someone with one of their records. The Gallagher brothers have had no love lost over Bono and company, previously ridiculing them for their heavy use of political imagery during shows.
“Where do their fans f**king come from? Where are they?” Liam says. “I reckon they buy them. With all the money they’ve made, they just bought a load of people and every time they do a gig they get a shovel and pile them into their gigs to make them look good.”
For U2′s part, their nonexistent fans can look forward to the band’s newest collection, a triple-vinyl release of remixed hits titled Artificial Horizon on May 14. A CD version of the collection is currently available to subscribing members of U2.com
