Q: The Twin Cities is really buzzing about the Twins’ new stadium right now. Target Field opens in less than a week. Have you been there? Did you go to any of the exhibition games last weekend? Just curious.
Dan Austin — Coon Rapids, MN
A: Thanks for the question, Dan. The short answer is that representatives from Jack FM have been to Target Field, yet I — sadly — have not. I know what you’re thinking:
“Come on! You’re DOCTOR J for cryin’ out loud! Doctors make TONS of loot! Couldn’t you dip in to your Scrooge McDuck vault of cash and grab a ticket or two if for no other reason than to have bragging rights? How cool would it be to say that you saw the first professional baseball game played at Target Field?!”
The sad truth, Dan, is that MOST doctors make a bunch of money.
Obscene amounts of money.
Really offensive amounts of money.
The truth is that I get paid $10 and a half-eaten sandwich every two weeks, so tickets to the first professional baseball game held at Target Field — while VERY affordable — is just out of my price range.
Perhaps someday the powers that be here at Jack FM will bust open the piggy bank and properly compensate me so as I can afford the finer things in life. After all, I AM an honors graduate of Columbia…
… “Columbia” as in the one in Central America.
