[lastfm]Aerosmith[/lastfm] bassist Tom Hamilton is shedding some light on what happened during the period of turmoil when it seemed like [lastfm]Steven Tyler[/lastfm] would be replaced as the band’s lead singer.
In an interview with the Boston Herald, Hamilton said that the other members of the band went “on strike” after Tyler fell off the stage at a South Dakota concert last summer, insisting that he needed to deal with his addiction issues.
“There was a lot of reconciling and processing feelings and stuff,” Hamilton said. “Everyone said how they wanted things to be in the future and it became clear that, for everybody, the coolest thing to do would be to resolve things with the band.”
He added, “It sucked. I hated that it was that way for a few months.”
