slash Slash Added To Download Festival Lineup[lastfm]Slash[/lastfm] has been confirmed as a performer at the Download Festival, adding to an already star-studded cast. The former [lastfm]Guns N’ Roses[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Velvet Revolver[/lastfm] guitarist will make his live debut as a solo artist at the rock festival, which is set for June 11-13 at Donington Park in Leicestershire, U.K.
[lastfm]Porcupine Tree[/lastfm],[lastfm]Michael Monroe[/lastfm], [lastfm]Flyleaf[/lastfm], [lastfm]White Wizzard[/lastfm], [lastfm]the Used[/lastfm], [lastfm]the Damned Things[/lastfm], [lastfm]Atreyu[/lastfm], [lastfm]Cancer Bats[/lastfm], [lastfm]Senser[/lastfm], [lastfm]Sweethead [/lastfm]and [lastfm]Breed 77[/lastfm] are among the latest names added to the event.

Other acts set to perform include [lastfm]Aerosmith[/lastfm], [lastfm]Stone Temple Pilots[/lastfm], [lastfm]Motörhead[/lastfm], [lastfm]Billy Idol[/lastfm], [lastfm]AC/DC[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Rage Against The Machine[/lastfm].

The Download Festival, which is run by Live Nation, made its debut in 2003. It was set up as a follow-up to the Monsters of Rock festivals, which were held at Donington Park between 1980 and 1996.
