A [lastfm]Run-D.M.C.[/lastfm] reunion is reportedly not in the cards for the former hip-hop group, despite recent rumors.
The surviving members of the group – Joseph “Run” Simmons and Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels – were expected to play at the annual Roots picnic on June 5 in Philadelphia, but [lastfm]Roots [/lastfm]drummer [lastfm]?uestlove[/lastfm] told Billboard that they will not appear.
No reason was given. [lastfm]Wu-Tang Clan[/lastfm] members Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Raekwon will reportedly appear instead.
[lastfm]Clipse[/lastfm], [lastfm]Mayer Hawthorne[/lastfm], [lastfm]Nneka[/lastfm], [lastfm]the Very Best[/lastfm], [lastfm]Tuneyards[/lastfm], [lastfm]Das Racist[/lastfm], [lastfm]Bajah + the Dry Eye Crew[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Pattern Is Movement[/lastfm] are also part of the lineup. ?uestlove is also expected to play a set with fellow Philadelphia native [lastfm]DJ Jazzy Jeff[/lastfm].
