Chris Daughtry made an American Idol homecoming on Wednesday. [lastfm]Daughtry[/lastfm] performed on the week’s results show, playing “September,” a tune from their sophomore album, last year’s Leave This Town.
Interviewed by Idol host Ryan Seacrest after the performance, Chris told the contestants to “stay hungry.” Asked about what it’s like now playing in arenas after starting on the Idol stage, Daughtry said “It never gets old.”
The results show also saw performances from Bon Jovi and from former Idol winner Fantasia Barrino.
Bon Jovi played “Superman Tonight,” the second single from their current album, The Circle, which was released last year. During his interview with Seacrest, frontman Jon Bon Jovi, when asked about the secret to the band’s continued success, said simply, “Hard work, good luck . . . good friends.”
