The [lastfm]Rolling Stones [/lastfm]will be going up against Glee for the top spot on the Billboard 200 next week. The legendary band has reissued their classic 1972 album Exile on Main Street, which spent four weeks at the Billboard number one spot when it was first released.
In an interview with MSNBC, Rolling Stones frontman [lastfm]Mick Jagger [/lastfm]noted some of the changes the band made to the tracks for the re-release.
“I added some percussion. I added some vocals. Keith put guitar on one or two. I added some acoustic guitar and some other things . . . But I think in the end it’s very much sounding like it was in those days, so to speak,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Glee: Showstoppers soundtrack – the third full-length Glee soundtrack – is expected to debut at number one and chart sales of 80,000-100,000 copies, according to industry analysts.
