Elton John Turned Down $33M To Replace Simon Cowell
[lastfm]Elton John [/lastfm]has reportedly turned down an offer to become [lastfm]Simon Cowell[/lastfm]‘s replacement on American Idol. According to Access Hollywood, the Rocket Man passed up $33 million by refusing to take up a seat at the Idol judges table.
Rumors have been swirling about who will take over for Cowell, who is leaving the show at the end of this season. But Idol producers are going to wait to announce the replacement, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly.
