faces2 111809 The Faces Reform Behind Simply Reds Mick HucknallThe [lastfm]Faces[/lastfm] have confirmed that they will reform this summer without original frontman [lastfm]Rod Stewart[/lastfm]. The “Stay With Me” icons will hit the stage at the Goodwood Estate in Sussex, U.K., during a festival taking place between August 13 and 15. Stewart will be replaced by[lastfm] Mick Hucknall[/lastfm] of [lastfm]Simply Red[/lastfm].

“We got together to receive a PRS Lifetime Achievement award last year and very simply the magic was still there,” [lastfm]Ronnie Wood [/lastfm]tells NME of the band’s most recent reunion last fall.

Wood adds: “Playing with the boys again just felt right so we thought well why not? It’s exciting to be on this path again and I hope that the Faces fans are excited as we are – I’m just really looking forward to seeing them this summer – bring it on!”

Drummer [lastfm]Kenney Jones [/lastfm]also tells NME that fans can “expect the classics and also some incredible guests . . . it’s going to be lots of fun.”
