Season two of Live From The Artists Den kicks off next month, and [lastfm]Ringo Starr [/lastfm]will be there to start it off.
The concert series distributed by American Public Television will showcase an intimate performance from Starr when the new season beings in July. Different markets across the country will carry the episode at various time slots, with Starr’s episode scheduled for the week of July 6.
Coincidently, the former [lastfm]Beatle[/lastfm] will be celebrating a birthday that week. Starr turns 70 on July 7.
A slew of performances have been announced for the second season of Artists Den. Future episodes this summer will include performances with [lastfm]David Gray[/lastfm], [lastfm]Tori Amos[/lastfm], and the [lastfm]Black Crowes[/lastfm].
Starr will be backed during his episode by [lastfm]Ben Harper [/lastfm]and his band. They filmed the performance at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
