[lastfm]Bret Michaels [/lastfm]returned to the stage for his first concert following the brain hemorrhage and warning stroke which sidelined the singer earlier this spring.
Fans reportedly lined up around the venue as early as 8 A.M. for what turned out to be a sold-out show in front of 1,800 fans. The concert featured a healthy dose of [lastfm]Poison[/lastfm] tunes, including “Talk Dirty To Me” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”
Most observers were struck by how much energy the singer had at the show, despite his recent health episodes. “It’s an awesome feeling, I’m glad to be here,” Michaels told the crowd.
VH1 was on hand to film the performance for Michaels’ upcoming reality show, Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It. Michaels also recently won this season’s Celebrity Apprentice, appearing on the live finale against doctors’ orders. He also performed on the finale of this year’s American Idol.
