kidrock 100109 Kid Rock Enlists All Star Collaborators For New Album[lastfm]Kid Rock[/lastfm]‘s new album Born Free is set to hit stores on September 7. The album will reportedly feature a wide range of collaborators, including [lastfm]Martina McBride[/lastfm], rapper [lastfm]T.I[/lastfm]. and fellow Detroit rocker [lastfm]Bob Seger[/lastfm]. The classic rock icon appears on a track called “Collide.”

“I asked [Bob] to be on the track, and he didn’t call me back,” Kid Rock tells TheBoot.com. “I started getting really nervous, and then a couple of days later he showed up at the studio, by himself. I said, ‘Bob, why didn’t you call? I didn’t think you were going to do it!’ He said, ‘I was practicing.'”

Other confirmed guests for the album include [lastfm]Sheryl Crow [/lastfm]and [lastfm]Zac Brown[/lastfm]. Kid Rock will support the upcoming release with back-to-back nights at London’s 02 Arena on June 24 and 25 before heading back to hit the road in North America in July.
