Elton John Performs At Rush Limbaugh’s Fourth Wedding
[lastfm]Elton John [/lastfm]sang at Rush Limbaugh‘s fourth wedding on Saturday night, according to People magazine. The “Candle in the Wind” singer reportedly received $1 million to perform at the celebration.
Limbaugh, 59, married Kathryn Rogers, 33, at the Breakers hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. According to People, the couple met at a charity golf tournament six years ago when Limbaugh was in the middle of divorcing his third wife.
Despite the right wing talk show host being open about opposing gay marriage, he still invited John – who is outwardly gay and in a civil partnership with his partner David Furnish – to perform.
During the ceremony, a banner hung from a plane flying overhead that read, “Rush: Congrats on your 4th marriage. XO, Gawker.”
Some of the other celebrities who appeared at the event were former Bush adviser Karl Rove, baseball player George Brett, former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani and golfer Tom Watson.
The newlyweds are reportedly honeymooning in Mexico and Africa, traveling to each destination in Limbaugh’s private jet.
