Joe Jackson Changes His Tune On Katherine’s Role In MJ’s Death
Just one day after [lastfm]Michael Jackson[/lastfm]‘s father, [lastfm]Joe Jackson[/lastfm], claimed that his wife, Katherine, is to blame for their son’s death, the King of Pop’s father is now retracting his words.
In a recent interview with England’s News of the World, Joe said that MJ might still be here today if his mother had stepped in to stop his drug use.
“Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset,” he said. “But I didn’t give her a hug because I was mad at her crying. I said, ‘If you had listened to me, Michael would be living now!’ I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong.”
Now, however, whether it is over the backlash from MJ’s fans or a warning from Katherine’s lawyer, Joe tells PopEater that “Katherine didn’t kill my son. She isn’t at fault.”
