Producers of the U.K.’s vocal talent show The X-Factor have announced that [lastfm]Katy Perry[/lastfm] will step in as a guest judge in the absence of Danii Minogue, who is leaving the show to have a baby.

Perry is just the latest in a string of guest judges that include [lastfm]Pixie Lott[/lastfm], [lastfm]Natalie Imbruglia[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Geri Halliwell[/lastfm].

In addition to her new job on The X-Factor, Perry is also making headlines this week for denying that she is in a war of words with fellow pop queen [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm]. Though Perry previously blasted Gaga’s new “Alejandro” video, saying it is similar to a “comedian telling a fart joke,” she now claims there is no bad blood.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly the “California Gurls” singer said that she is “a massive fan” of Lady Gaga and that her initial statement was meant as “more of a non-specific, general thing. But everybody made it out to be a cat fight.”
