[lastfm]Bret Michaels [/lastfm]has postponed the release of his long-awaited new autobiography Roses and Thorns to add a new chapter detailing his recent health problems. The new chapter talks about an accident in which a stage curtain landed on him at the 2009 Tony Awards, the operation to fix a hole in his heart, his emergency appendectomy, and finally his brain hemorrhage and consequent stroke.
“I don’t think Simon & Schuster has ever had a book like this, where every day something else happens to me. This book was supposed to come out June 23 of last summer, and then I had the Tony Awards incident happen, so they wanted to put that in there. Then I had the brain hemorrhage, and they’re like, ‘You gotta talk about that . . .’ This book is going to be like War and Peace times six. It’s ridiculous,” Michaels tells Billboard.
