[lastfm]Sheryl Crow[/lastfm] says that becoming a mother has transformed her life and given it purpose. After the “If It Makes You Happy” singer adopted her one-month-old son, Levi, while still raising her three-year-old, Wyatt, she found that she feels completely fulfilled.
“[Wyatt] changed my life completely,” Crow told Elle magazine. “I’ve really put roots down with him. His happiness is my priority . . . he’s like a Labrador – he needs to be outside, running around!”
Crow says she loves raising her sons in her New York apartment, adding, “This was the first place I ever bought, and it has always been special for me.”
She continued, “I loved the years when I lived here full time. Everybody in this building either grew up here or raised their kids here, and you can just tell that this is a place that has held a lot of life and a lot of good memories.”
Meanwhile, Crow is preparing to hit the road with the newly revived Lilith Fair tour in the Canadian province of Alberta on June 27 in Calgary. The singer and her fellow female stars will play shows throughout the summer before wrapping up August 16 in Dallas.
