[lastfm]Radiohead[/lastfm]‘s follow-up to 2007’s In Rainbows might be out before 2010 comes to a close, according to one member of the band.
During a recent interview with a radio station, guitarist [lastfm]Ed O’Brien [/lastfm]revealed that the group is “at the finishing line” of the album’s completion.
“We’re in the heart of the record. It’s genuinely exciting,” says O’Brien. “It’s very different from what we did last time. It’s really nice to be doing this. It’s so good to be making music with the band that you feel is still as good as it’s ever been.”
While a release date and title are not yet set in stone, O’Brien says that the album is near completion.
“Hopefully it will be a matter of weeks,” he says, adding, “Ideally, it would be great if it came out sometime this year. It has got to.”
