VH1 To Broadcast Rush Documentary

rush 0311101 VH1 To Broadcast Rush DocumentaryVH1 has announced that they will air the new [lastfm]Rush[/lastfm] documentary, RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage on Saturday, June 26 at 9 PM Eastern Time.

The new documentary, directed by rock film veterans [lastfm]Scot McFadyen [/lastfm]and [lastfm]Sam Dunn[/lastfm], recently won the Audience Choice Award at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

“We went down to Tribeca and it was insane,” McFadyen told Exclaim.ca. “The band was there and the fans were crazy. They were lined up since 9:30 in the morning.”

RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage will show on VH1’s main channel as well as VH1 Classic, and MTV Networks high definition station, Palladia.

The film includes interviews with many top hard rock artists including [lastfm]Gene Simmons[/lastfm], [lastfm]Sebastian Bach[/lastfm], [lastfm]Kirk Hammett[/lastfm], [lastfm]Trent Reznor[/lastfm], [lastfm]Smashing Pumpkins [/lastfm]frontman[lastfm] Billy Corgan [/lastfm]and [lastfm]Foo Figh[/lastfm]ters drummer [lastfm]Taylor Hawkins[/lastfm].
