[lastfm]Ozzy Osbourne[/lastfm] is unsure if Ozzfest will continue on after this summer’s run. In a recent interview with Billboard, the Prince of Darkness admits that he will gauge future plans on the financial success of this year’s run.
“We’re bringing it back, and . . . if it takes off again, fine,” he said. “If it doesn’t, that’s also fine because it’s been great for us. There’s not that much dough around. People don’t have that much dough ’cause of the recession. But we’ll see what happens. You never know. It could go, and it could not.”
Whether or not this summer’s tour is a box office success, Ozzy says it’s sure to be a great time for the fans and bands alike. This year’s addition of [lastfm]Mötley Crüe[/lastfm] could mark a return to Ozzy’s crazier days.
“They’re good old friends of mine,” he said. “The 1984 tour . . . was the most f**king crazy tour I ever did in my life. I can’t remember it, but I remember I used to wake up every morning or come around and think, ‘What the f**k went on last night?'”
Ozzfest kicks off on August 14 in Devore, California.
