ed kowalczyk 062910 Live Frontman Ed Kowalczyk Announces Album And TourFormer[lastfm]Live[/lastfm] frontman [lastfm]Ed Kowalczyk[/lastfm] has announced a new string of tour dates in support of his upcoming solo album Alive, set for release on July 6. According to [lastfm]Kowalczyk[/lastfm], the album is the culmination of two years worth of creative work.

“During the last two years, I found myself at a new level of personal inspiration and creativity,” he says in a statement. “I am so excited that my long time fans, as well as new ones, are about to experience the fruit of my labor of love! This album is a gigantic achievement for me and I couldn’t be more thrilled at the prospect of finally sharing it with the world.”

As a member of [lastfm]Live[/lastfm], [lastfm]Kowalczyk[/lastfm] sold over 20 million records worldwide. The band formally split in 2009 and have since been engaged in an ongoing legal battle over publishing rights to future and past recorded material.
