[lastfm]Ozzy Osbourne[/lastfm]‘s new album Scream has debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. The album comes in just behind new releases from pop starlet [lastfm]Miley Cyrus[/lastfm], Canadian rapper [lastfm]Drake[/lastfm] and hip-hop icon [lastfm]Eminem[/lastfm].
In addition to the album’s high debut on the overall albums chart, it also took the top spot on Billboard‘s rock and hard rock albums charts. The first single from the LP, titled “Let Me Hear You Scream,” has enjoyed significant chart success of its own, thus far peaking at number seven on the rock songs chart.
In other news, fans may soon have an answer to the age old question surrounding the Prince of Darkness – how has he survived this long? A team of researchers at a genetic firm are reportedly decoding Ozzy’s DNA in hopes of discovering how the 61-year-old has made it through so many years of extreme drug and alcohol abuse.
In a recent interview with CBS News, Jon Armstrong of Cofactor Genomics says we may never know how Ozzy has kept the party going but the new DNA research should “add more pieces to the puzzle.”
