The [lastfm]Dave Matthews Band[/lastfm] have announced that they will close out their 2010 summer tour with back-to-back shows at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on September 17 and 18. Tickets for the gigs will go on sale July 17 and will feature a special VIP option that includes priority seating, access to a VIP area and a free buffet.
The shows will mark DMB’s final summer tour dates and could mark their last shows until 2012, as they are planning to take next summer off.
“As we feel the excitement building for this summer, we wanted to let everyone know that after twenty years of consecutive touring, Dave Matthews Band will be taking 2011 off,” the band says in an official statement.
“We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people’s lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. We’re excited to make this summer one of our best tours yet, and look forward to returning to the road in 2012.”
[lastfm]Jason Mraz[/lastfm] has been confirmed as the supporting act for the upcoming Chicago dates.
