[lastfm]Jane’s Addiction[/lastfm] played a special show in Los Angeles on Friday on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood at The Roxy Theatre – the place where they recorded their self-titled 1987 album.
The concert was included in the Sunset Strip Summer Concert Series, which was sponsored by Bing.
Singer [lastfm]Perry Farrell[/lastfm], guitarist [lastfm]Dave Navarro[/lastfm], drummer [lastfm]Stephen Perkins[/lastfm] and bassist [lastfm]Duff McKagan[/lastfm] performed songs like “Ain’t No Right,” “Mountain Song” and “Been Caught Stealing.”
For the band’s next album, they will be working with [lastfm]Rich Costey[/lastfm], who has done work with the likes of [lastfm]Muse[/lastfm], [lastfm]Franz Ferdinand[/lastfm], [lastfm]My Chemical Romance[/lastfm], [lastfm]Weezer[/lastfm], [lastfm]Doves[/lastfm], [lastfm]Jurassic 5[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Rage Against the Machine[/lastfm].
The album is scheduled to be released in the winter of 2011.
