[lastfm]Jon Bon Jovi[/lastfm] injured his leg onstage in his home state of New Jersey last week. The rocker tore his calf muscle as his band covered the [lastfm]Dave Clark Five [/lastfm]hit “Glad All Over,” but he soldiered on to perform the band’s final song.
Videos from the concert have been posted on YouTube and show the 48-year-old singer limping around the stage and struggling to continue with the show.
“Jon Bon Jovi sustained a torn calf muscle,” a spokesperson told People in a statement. “Jon made light of the injury and went on to close the show with their hit, ‘Living On a Prayer.’ The band ended the night together, thanking the capacity hometown crowd, and assisting Jon off the stage.”
The rocker took the day off on Saturday to recuperate, but performed on Sunday night in Saratoga Springs, New York, as expected. The injury will reportedly not interfere with any of the band’s upcoming stadium dates.
