[lastfm]Guns N’ Roses[/lastfm] have announced that they will be performing a one-off concert in Sydney, Australia, on December 4.
The band, which is currently wrapping up a European tour in support of the album Chinese Democracy, will be performing at Homebush’s Olympic Park as part of the Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercars concert. They will be joined by world-renowned skateboarder Tony Hawk at the concert, which organizers expect will draw over 200,000 people.
The concert marks the band’s first show in Australia since 2007. Their album Chinese Democracy was released in 2008 after a decade of work in rehearsal spaces and studios.
The inaugural Telstra 500 V8 concert in 2009 drew over 180,000 people and featured a Saturday evening performance by [lastfm]Cold Chisel[/lastfm].
