[lastfm]Aerosmith [/lastfm]guitarist [lastfm]Joe Perry[/lastfm] was hospitalized and treated for minor injuries following a motorcycle accident in Middleborough, Massachusetts, earlier this week.

Perry was reportedly hit from behind by a sedan on Thursday and treated at Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton.

According to a report from the Boston Globe, the legendary guitarist was admitted into the hospital under his born name, Anthony Perry, and police are still investigating the cause of the accident. It is unclear at this time if Perry was moving or stopped when he was struck.

It’s been a busy few months for Perry, who will join Aerosmith on the U.S. leg their Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock tour later this month. The tour kicks of on July 23 at Oracle Stadium in Oakland, California, and runs through September 4.
