Later this week [lastfm]KISS[/lastfm] will kick off their Hottest Show on Earth tour, one that will take the legendary band on a 32-city run across North America. Things get underway this Friday in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
“It’s about the marathon,” KISS rhythm guitarist and co-frontman [lastfm]Paul Stanley [/lastfm]told Reuters. “It’s more about who lasts the longest – if you’re depressed or lose your drive because of one tour or one show, then you’re in the wrong business.”
Stanley went on to say that fans shouldn’t worry about KISS not giving the tour their all night in and night out.
“They’re great songs, and on top of that, you have to respect your audience. When somebody comes to a concert and pays hard-earned money, they don’t deserve to hear a band turn ‘Love Gun’ into a reggae tune,” he added.
The tour will bring the band to a host of cities including Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Boston, Phoenix and Charlotte, North Carolina. It wraps up September 25 in Fontana, California.
