[lastfm]Big Boi[/lastfm] has signed on for a performance at this year’s MoogFest, set to run between October 29 and 31 in Asheville, North Carolina. The [lastfm]Outkast[/lastfm] rapper joins a growing line-up which also includes [lastfm]Thievery Corporation[/lastfm], [lastfm]Massive Attack[/lastfm] and [lastfm]MGMT[/lastfm].
The festival, which celebrates [lastfm]Bob Moog[/lastfm] and the legendary Moog Synthesizer, will include shows at Asheville’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, the Asheville Civic Center, and historic local club the Orange Peel.
“Bob Moog changed the course of music as we know it,” said Ashley Capps, head of promoter AC Entertainment. “He put new worlds of sound literally at the fingertips of musicians, unleashing a creative revolution.”
Capps added, “We’re thrilled and honored to be able to celebrate his extraordinary legacy in the place that he called home and we hope to do so for many years to come.”
Tickets for the event go on sale July 30.
