Johnson confirmed the news during an interview on the U.K.’s Chris Evans Breakfast Show. The new album will reportedly contain performances recorded during the band’s Black Ice tour. The trek has been ongoing for past two years, selling more than five million tickets worldwide. The new disc will be AC/DC’s first full-length live album since 1997’s Bonfire.

Rumors are swirling that the band will also release a DVD with footage from the band’s December 2009 show in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The new disc will be AC/DC’s first full-length live album since 1997’s Bonfire. There is no word on an official release date.

In November 2009, the band released Backtracks, a triple-CD, double-DVD box set. The collection includes rare tracks and live versions of several of the band’s songs.
