[lastfm]Liam Gallagher[/lastfm] says the first album from his new band, [lastfm]Beady Eye[/lastfm], will be the best record in the next 50 years.
He made the proclamation while speaking with the U.K.’s Sky News at the opening a new retail store for his clothing line, Pretty Green.
“I’m doing the next record you’ll hear for the next 50 years,” Gallagher said. “It’s not gonna be out until next year. We’ll probably get a single out October or November, and there’s no point in doing gigs if people haven’t heard the music.”
Beady Eye features Gallagher and other former members of [lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm]. Last month, the singer told the U.K.’s Sunday Times that the band will be “bigger than Oasis” and that his brother and former Oasis bandmate,[lastfm]Noel Gallagher[/lastfm], will “come crawling back very soon.”
Beady Eye’s debut album is currently slated for release in 2011.
