STP’s DeLeo: Old Songs And Rarities To Be Featured On New Tour
[lastfm]Stone Temple Pilots[/lastfm] guitarist [lastfm]Dean DeLeo [/lastfm]has offered up some new details about the band’s upcoming tour. He says the band will be playing some old stuff and some tunes that have never been played in concert before.
“We’ve been in rehearsals the last week and a half,” DeLeo tells Billboard. “We’re playing some stuff we’ve never played live. We’re doing some stuff from No. 4 and some things off Purple that we haven’t played since, like, ’94.”
He also stated that the band has “worked up about five or six songs from the new record” that they will play during the tour.
STP released their new self-titled album on May 25. The release is the band’s first new LP since 2001’s Shangri-La Dee Da and it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart.
Stone Temple Pilots have a concert scheduled for Winnipeg, Canada, this week, followed by performances in Colorado, South Dakota and Minnesota next week.
