Yoko Ono: “Don’t Hold Your Breath” For The Beatles On ITunes
[lastfm]Yoko Ono[/lastfm] says there’s no hope in sight for a long awaited deal that would bring the [lastfm]Beatles[/lastfm] music to Apple’s iTunes music service.
Ono recently said that a deal with Apple was close several times, but several major hurdles have blocked such a deal.
“(Apple CEO) Steve Jobs has his own idea and he’s a brilliant guy,” Ono told Reuters. “There’s just an element that we’re not very happy about, as people. We are holding out. Don’t hold your breath . . . for anything.”
There was widespread speculation the two parties had come to an agreement last year when the box set of remastered Beatles albums was released on the same day as a newly updated Apple iPod. It seems, however, that the timing was mere coincidence.
