The parole hearing for [lastfm]John Lennon[/lastfm]‘s assassin, [lastfm]Mark David Chapman[/lastfm], has been postponed to a later date, according to a court official.
Chapman, 55, who killed [lastfm]Lennon[/lastfm] in December 1980, has sought release from New York State’s Attica prison six times. “Mr. Chapman was informed today that his parole interview has been postponed one month,” the parole board said on Tuesday. [lastfm]Yoko Ono[/lastfm], the widow of the former [lastfm]Beatle[/lastfm], is against the releasing Chapman.
