[lastfm]Deep Purple[/lastfm] will be releasing a documentary about their split in 1976 and the year leading up to the band’s breakup.
The documentary, called Gettin’ Tighter: The Story of Deep Purple Mk 4, will feature interviews with members [lastfm]Glenn Hughes[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Jon Lord[/lastfm], along with exclusive never-before-seen footage.
Additional people included in the film are [lastfm]David Coverdale[/lastfm], [lastfm]Tommy Bolin[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Ian Paice[/lastfm], who were all part of the acclaimed era of Deep Purple. This ensemble of musicians only stayed together for the 1975 album Come Taste The Band and a six-month tour before parting ways.
Gettin’ Tighter: The Story of Deep Purple Mark 4 will be available on Blu-Ray/DVD sometime early next year.
