Courtney Love treated fans to a cover of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” at a private show in New York this week.
A video of the performance has surfaced in which Love growls her way through the mega-hit, which came toward the end of her set. The expletive-filled clip captures Love with her band [lastfm]Hole[/lastfm] in a raw performance at Don Hill bar in SoHo on Saturday night.
In addition to the Gaga cover, Love tore through Big Star’s “Thirteen,” along with Hole’s classics “Malibu” and “Make Me Over.”
EOnline.com reports that the well-received set had several A-list attendees including Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, who was seen sipping a beer.
Love also made recent headlines over a seemingly heartfelt plea to her daughter Frances Bean Cobain. The 18-year-old has been estranged from Love since a ruling emancipated her from her mother’s guardianship earlier this year.
“Just come home. it took a year but i got the sickest townhouse in the village, theres 4 floors, just come home, i pray to god snap out ofit (sic),” Love wrote via Twitter on Frances’ recent 18th birthday.
