His daughter says he’d be perfect for Idol. [lastfm]Joe Perry [/lastfm]doesn’t expect him to rejoin Aerosmith anytime soon. What else does [lastfm]Steven Tyler [/lastfm]really have on his plate if he doesn’t join American Idol as it’s newest judge?
Liv Tyler, Hollywood star and daughter of [lastfm]Aerosmith[/lastfm] frontman [lastfm]Steven Tyler[/lastfm], has given her dad a ringing endorsement as the newest judge of American Idol.
Though the show has not yet confirmed the news, Tyler has been closely linked with Idol and has made several comments confirming his new gig.
“My father would be a good judge of anything, I think!” Liv said of her father’s new job while speaking with Access Hollywood in New York City last week.
And while Liv may be confident in her dad’s judgement, his longtime bandmate [lastfm]Joe Perry[/lastfm], however, is not so sure. In a recent interview with Calgary Herald, Perry blasted Tyler and said that the band won’t sit around and wait for their frontman.
“I’m not going to sit around for two years waiting for him to come back to Aerosmith,” Perry said. “(You’ve got) four guys that are great together, and if you find the right singer, there’s no reason you can’t go and entertain people.”
