Unfortunate news for a member of [lastfm]Heart[/lastfm] and her director husband…
Almost Famous director Cameron Crowe and singer Nancy Wilson have filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple has been married for 22 years and has 10-year-old twin sons.
The pair first connected in 1982 when Wilson made a cameo in Crowe’s Fast Times at Ridgemont High. According to ABC News, they were introduced by the manager of Wilson’s band, Heart. They married in 1986.
In Heart, Wilson and her sister Ann were responsible for a string of hits in the 1970’s including “Barracuda,” “Magic Man” and “Crazy On You.” In recent years, Nancy has also collaborated with Crowe, scoring the music for his films Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky and Elizabethtown.
MTV reports that Wilson filed the divorce papers with the Los Angeles County Superior Court earlier this week and listed their official separation as June 15, 2008.
