[lastfm]KISS[/lastfm] has branded themselves on everything known to man: from comic books to coffins. It was only a matter of time until they hit up Facebook
KISS will broadcast the final North American date of their 2010 ‘Hottest Show on Earth’ tour live through the Facebook game Nightclub City. The show will take place at the Epicenter Twenty Ten Festival in Fontana, California, and will also be broadcast on radio station websites nationwide.
“We’re celebrating the end of a monster tour by giving everyone a chance to relive some of what they heard and saw at the show,” Paul Stanley said in a statement. “Unfortunately, we will not be responsible for computers melting.”
KISS will be the first major act to feature their music within the game, which claims to have more than 8.6 million active users. Developed by Booyah, Nightclub City allows users to create their own virtual environment and choose the music they listen to.
“We have always believed in pushing the boundaries, in giving the fans bang for the buck, in going where no band has gone before,” Gene Simmons said.
Those who watch the KISS concert through Nightclub City will be rewarded with special KISS-branded virtual goods.
