Linkin Park’s album also topped the Billboard Rock Albums, Digital Albums, Alternative Albums, Hard Rock Albums and Canadian Albums charts. Additionally, it debuted at number one in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and Switzerland.
The first single from the album, “The Catalyst,” was released on August 2, with an additional track (“Wretches and Kings”) released to fans who pre-ordered the album through the group’s official website. They have also released the singles “Waiting for the End” and “Blackout” on their MySpace page and recently performed live at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
