Aretha Franklin Rumored To Have Pancreatic Cancer
Here at JACK FM we give our utmost respect to The Queen of Soul
Aretha Franklin is reportedly battling pancreatic cancer. The news broke on Wednesday and allegedly leaked through a relative of the singer.
Franklin has been in and out of hospitals the past few months with an unreported illness. The 68-year-old Queen of Soul even underwent surgery for the condition, which she claimed “was highly successful.”
“God is still in control,” Franklin said in the same statement. “I had superb doctors and nurses whom were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country. God bless you all for your prayers!”
Despite Franklin’s insistence that she was fine, last month doctors ordered her to cancel all concert dates and personal appearances scheduled until May 2011.
Neither Franklin nor her representative have issued an official confirmation or denial of the cancer. The National Inquirer, however, reports that she has incurable and inoperable pancreatic cancer, and that doctors made the diagnosis after she broke her ribs in a fall over the summer.
