[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Judas Priest[/lastfm] have announced that they will wrap up their illustrious career with a farewell world tour next year. In an official statement, the band’s management revealed that the tour will take the metal icons all over the world.
“After storming the world for nearly 40 years and taking their very special brand of heavy metal to all four corners of the planet, Judas Priest – one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, have announced this will be their final world tour,” the managers said in a press release.
With their final tour, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rob Halford[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]K.K. Downing[/lastfm] and company will play cuts off their most current album, 2008′s Nostradamus. They are also likely to offer tracks released on the 2009 live album A Touch of Evil: Live. That album’s “Dissident Aggressor” notched the band a Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 2010.
“With all guns blazing and amps cranked to 11, the band will be giving all their fans one last chance to witness the ultimate metal experience that is Judas Priest,” the release adds.
