Blunt says his new album Some Kind Of Trouble is “more upbeat” than his previous two (2005’s Back To Bedlam and 2007’s All The Lost Souls). The change in tempo seems to have energized him and led him in different creative directions, some even a little out of his comfort zone. Of the recording process, he says he and his band “locked ourselves away” and focused intensely on achieving the right sound. There are even tracks, like “Turn Me On,” that might not have made it onto the album if Blunt hadn’t insisted to his record label that they be included.
