We have a team on the ground of Comic-Con bringing us the latest, greatest and smelliest news from the world biggest fan convention. Check out their latest find.
When you think of Comic-Con, Beavis & Butthead probably aren’t characters that come to mind. Not only are they a two decade-old MTV series but they’re certainly not superheroes. They can’t fly, bend steel, throw flames and anything that superheroes do. But that’s precisely why everyone loves them. They fit the definition of “anti-hero.”
Mike Judge, the show’s creator, sat down with Johnny Knoxville in the over-crowded room 6a to talk shop and show off a few clips from the soon-to-be-release MTV fall series. Johnny’s duty was to act as moderator. He started off on the right foot when he cracked a few beers and slouched back in his chair. This wasn’t going to be a high-brow presentation.
After twenty minutes of Q&A, they pair proceeded to show off segments from three new episodes as well as a Beavis and Butthead’s hilarious narration. Instead of talking over music videos, the duo give unload their thoughts over shows like Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, Teen Cribs, UFC fights and Youtube videos ripe for the pickin’.
Among the clips was one titled ”Cornholio.” Old school fans will recall this as being one of the series’ most memorable bits. College campuses were littered with Cornholio t-shirts throughout the mid-90’s.
In this brand new episode, Beavis shoves a screw through his hand while attempting to anally penetrate a GI Joe. Butthead then tries to help out by screwing Beavis’s hands together. After a trip to the emergency room, Beavis, out of his mind on prescription meds, turns into his alter-ego, Cornholio.
The word is that we should see the new series on MTV this Fall. I for one can’t wait.
