Coldplay’s first North American tour in nearly three years will make a stop at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, Aug. 11th.  Tickets go on sale this Saturday, but we’ve got your chance to win tickets before you can buy them.  Just listen for a Coldplay song around 3:45 in the afternoon all week for your chance to win!

Coldplay is a British alternative rock band, formed in London, United Kingdom in 1997. The band comprises vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion.

 
Coldplay – comprising Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Chris Martin – has sold more than 50 million records worldwide and won numerous awards, including seven Grammy® Awards, six Brit Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. The band is touring in support of its new RIAA-certified Platinum record, “Mylo Xyloto,” which has scored the most No. 1 rankings of any album this year worldwide, topping the charts in 34 countries to date. “Mylo Xyloto’s” first two singles have received Grammy nominations – “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song, and the Gold-certified “Paradise” for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Coldplay is also nominated for a People’s Choice Award in the Favorite Band category.

Coldplay’s first North American tour in nearly three years will make a stop at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, Aug. 11th, 2012.  This will be Coldplay’s second visit to Xcel Energy Center. The band’s inaugural performance was on Nov. 14, 2008, on their “Viva La Vida” tour
