ZZ Top is coming to the Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater on June 29th.  ZZ Top will be with 3 Doors Down, plus a special guest!  ZZ Top’s early sound was blues but then it grew into contemporary.  ZZ Top first formed in 1969.  ZZ Top was popular in the 1970′s, but they didn’t receive major awards until the 80′s.

The first show ZZ Top performed as a finalized lineup was on February 10th, 1970 in Beaumont Texas.  ZZ Top’s First Album was released in January 1971.  The single was “(Somebody Else Been) Shakin’ Your Tree.”  This song peaked at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  The band’s second album was released in 1972 it got good reviews and limited radio play.  There was only one single that was released from the album.  The single was Rio Grande Mud got to #104 on the Billboard 200 chart.  ZZ Top became a part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
