Covering the Talking Heads is practically a rite of passage for indie rock bands these days. After all, the influential ’80s new wave band did inspire Radiohead’s name and got a nod from U2 in the form of a “Psycho Killer” cover last year.

This week, U.K. songstress Florence Welch and her backing band known as “the Machine” saluted the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers in the form of a “Wild Wild Life” cover.

But there is one thing that sets Florence and the Machine’s Talking Heads cover apart from those of, say, Arcade Fire and MGMT. Two words: Animal costumes. Watch below.

Welch and co. covered “Wild Wild Life,” which went Top 40 upon its release as a single in 1986, dressed as wildlife in celebration of their headlining gig at U.K. music festival Bestival, to be held this September. Theirs is an acoustic cover, which lets Welch’s bewitching vocals take the lead.
