Red Hot Chili Peppers Set To Rock Las Vegas With Intimate New Year’s Eve Show
The Chelsea Ballroom of the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas is known for intimate New Year’s Eve shows with big-name artists. To ring in 2011, Coldplay with special guest Jay-Z performed in the room. To celebrate the arrival of 2012, the legendary Stevie Wonder topped the bill. It’s now been announced that L.A. punk-funk rock legacy act the Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled to do the honors of bringing in 2013 at the Vegas venue.
Fans will want to plan ahead in order to take part in the revelry. According to Pollstar, general admission tickets for the show go onsale this Friday (Sept. 7) at 10 a.m. PT for a cool $150 per ducat (not including service charges and fees), and should move pretty fast. High rollers looking for VIP access, which will be limited, should contact the Cosmopolitan directly regarding vacation packages, bottle service and prime viewing areas.
For Chili Peppers fans who will be in the area but unable to make it inside, The Cosmopolitan will treat the Vegas Strip with a live broadcast of the show on the resort’s outdoor digital marquee.
The band’s current world tour finds the Chili Peppers performing in Greece, Beirut and Lebanon leading up the NYE date, followed by shows in Australia and South Africa in early 2013.
