After a summer spent overseeing the Queen Extravaganza tour and playing Queen shows with pop star Adam Lambert, Brian May will now focus on his own tour, this time acoustic. The famed guitarist will hit the road this November for a brief, totally unplugged tour with British singer and stage actress Kerry Ellis, with whom he has previously worked.
The U.K. tour, dubbed Born Free, kicks off Nov. 5 and wraps two weeks later on Nov. 19. The setlist will be comprised of their personal favorite songs and new arrangements of songs from their discographies, all performed together.
Ellis is no stranger to Queen’s discography, having performed in Queen’s “jukebox musical” We Will Rock You. She and May have continually partnered in recent years, with May producing her 2010 debut album, Anthems, and its subsequent shows.
And May is no stranger to performing his hits with young female songstresses: This summer, he took to the Olympic stage with Jessie J stepping into the role of Freddie Mercury.
